Jan 470 camp...
Submitted by MikeWood on Sat, 07/01/2012 - 16:34.On the 3-4th Jan we attended the 470 GBR team training camp at the WPNSA. Unfortunately there wasn't any on the water training as the windy was over 40kts for most of the time! But even so, we got a lot of other technical stuff covered and sorted out our plan for this year which was really useful. Now looking forward to a weekend training on our own at the end of the month before the next camp at the start of Feb.

Coaching
Submitted by MikeWood on Thu, 06/10/2011 - 08:55.So I am back at University in Exeter for my second year. I have already been busy coaching in the 420's, and have plenty more weekends planned before Christmas. In a couple of weeks is a 470 National Ranker at WPNSA which is very exciting. We haven't really done any sailing in the 470 yet so this event will really be our first weekend of training as-well. I'm just really looking forward to get on the water and start getting to grips with the new class.

Summer plans and exams...
Submitted by MikeWood on Tue, 10/05/2011 - 12:25.Its that time of year again, exams are back on the schedule. So that is currently not doing wonders for the number of hours on the water training! But hopefully will be all done relatively soon. The summer is getting closer and closer, we are just sorting out our plan for events at the minute as qualification for the Euros is now all done and dusted. So looking forward to the summers racing!
